Thank you for including me in the BUILDING PERFORMANCE INSTITUTE, INC. training program for Building Analyst Professional lecture and field training for two weeks in October 2010 funded through a grant at Pierce College. It was an absolute honor and great opportunity. I learned of the class through the Photovoltaic class at West Valley Career Opportunity Center which I will finish in February. Both of you are very good instructors and demonstrated a caring about each of us in the class and went out of your way to make sure we had a complete understanding of the material. I appreciate your knowledge of the Energy field and industry, your intelligence and teaching style, and your sense of humor. Please keep me in your network for future trainings you may be offering. I have been in the insulation business for 35 years. I have owned Progressive Insulation & Windows for 33 years. I thought I knew everything about my industry but threw most of that out after taking your BUILDING PERFORMANCE INSTITUTE training for Building Shell Professional in October, 2010. Well, maybe I didn’t throw out everything I learned but, you and your team took what I knew to a whole new level. Now I understand what the CALIFORNIA PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION means by "advanced insulation systems" as a means to build ENERGY NEUTRAL HOMES by 2020.

Progressive Insulation & Windows is now BPI ACCREDITED. We have six BPI certified employees on staff and two of us were in your class last October. I must tell you that after the six of us compared notes, your class was by far the most complete, advanced and best learning experience to date. Your team’s passion, knowledge and teaching style ensured we understood the material so we can apply it in the field as opposed to just preparing us to pass a test. Your passion for what you are doing is most commendable and I am glad that I personally got the benefits of the excellent training you provide to your students. Please keep us on your mailing list for future training. As we have the need to certify more of our staff, there is no doubt that we will be enrolling them into your excellent training programs. The class taught by REAS Energy was amazing.  I spent a year as a troubleshooter for solar electrical systems and always wanted to learn about the conservation of energy, not just its production.  The class was well designed and helped me answer the questions I’ve had for years, especially about ways to conserve energy starting at my own home first.  Ron, Tammy and Josh are a trio that taught with me, not at me like most teachers I’ve had in school.  They listened to my questions and always answered them in an easy to follow manner.  I took the BPI Building Analyst test and passed.  In retrospect, I think I passed because I truly felt prepared, as a direct result of the preparation in class and the study guide that was hand crafted by the REAS team.  I have since gone on to get certified as a BPI Envelope Professional and started my own energy auditing business.  You know, I still find myself smiling at the funny things I did in the field training with the “trio” because even though I made many mistakes, they were always there to reassure me by saying, “It’s okay Jeff, you will eventually learn this stuff.”   Well, thanks REAS because I hear you in the back of my mind all the time when I’m learning something new in this industry, and believe me, it happens a lot!
